The invention provides a bidirectional DC converter and a control method thereof, and a bidirectional charger. The bidirectional DC converter comprises a first change-over switch group; the direct current sides of the N first conversion modules are connected to the power supply end and the load end through a first change-over switch group; n transformer modules; a second change-over switch group; the direct current sides of the N second conversion modules are connected to the power supply end and the load end through a second change-over switch group; and the control module is used for obtaining the conversion power and the conversion direction, and controlling the first change-over switch group and the second change-over switch group according to the conversion power and the conversion direction, so that the first conversion module needing to be put into work is connected with the power supply end, and the second conversion module needing to be put into work is connected with the load end. Or the first conversion module needing to be put into work is connected with the load end, and the second conversion module needing to be put into work is connected with the power end.
