The invention relates to a method for maintaining a marine structure (2) comprising a wind turbine (20) and an at least substantially vertical shaft (4). The invention relates to a method for maintaining a marine structure (2), said method comprising the use of an auxiliary floating system (1) comprising: at least one floating element (5), said at least one floating element (5) remaining semi-submerged during maintenance of said marine structure (2); at least one coupling structure (7) connecting the system (1) to the floating structure (2); and a contact element (9 ') and a tightening element (9) fixed to the coupling structure (7) and intended to securely connect the system (1) to the shaft (4). Advantageously, this secure connection allows operations for maintaining the marine structure (2), which will be performed in an effective and safe manner for the maintenance staff involved in the operations and the system.
