The invention relates to a method, a computer program and a device for operating an electrical energy storage circuit of a vehicle. Embodiments provide a method (100) for operating the electrical energy storage circuit of the vehicle (200). The method (100) comprises providing (110) an operating condition deviating from a reference condition when charging and/or discharging an energy store (216) of the energy storage circuit to increase the service life of the energy store (216). The method (100) further comprises adjusting (120) at least one parameter that deviates from a predetermined value when charging or discharging the energy store (216) with a detrimental service life for use improvement when operating the vehicle (200), the service life of the energy store (216) being at least maintained as a whole with respect to the service life under the reference condition.
