The method comprises the steps that monitoring state parameters and environment parameters are transmitted to a tower crane remote control subsystem in real time through the 5G communication module; the tower crane remote control subsystem is used for transmitting a control command to the main controller according to the real-time state parameters and environmental parameters, and a tower crane is remotely controlled through the main controller; and a safety early warning subsystem compares the state parameters and the environment parameters with safety threshold values correspondingly, whether safety early warning needs to be carried out or not is judged, and an early warning signal is sent out if safety early warning needs to be carried out. By means of the system and method, the problems that in the prior art, dead zones exist during operation of workers, and the workers are prone to being affected by factors such as the environment are solved, the timeliness of data transmission is effectively improved, and the safety of remote control over the tower crane is improved.
