The invention discloses a tower crane with counterweight blocks capable of being quickly mounted or demounted, and relates to construction engineering machinery. A jib and a balance arm are arranged on a rotating platform table, and are at opposite positions; a counterweight lifting device is arranged at the inner top of a jacking sleeve frame, and can move up and down in standard joints; a counterweight slideway matched with the counterweight lifting device is arranged on the balance arm; a fixing device for fixing the counterweight blocks, and an air bag device for protecting the counterweight blocks are also arranged on the balance arm; the air bag device comprises an air bag which is arranged at the lower part of the top end of the balance arm and can be repeatedly inflated. Compared with the prior art, the tower crane disclosed by the invention has the advantages that the counterweight blocks can be quickly mounted or demounted, and the counterweight blocks can be quickly demounted when a typhoon approaches or under other states with strong wind so as to keep the barycentre of the tower body stable; the tower crane disclosed by the invention solves the problems that because conventional counterweight blocks need to be mounted by a crane, the mounting efficiency and the mounting speed are low; further, according to the tower crane disclosed by the invention, when the counterweight blocks drop off accidentally, the counterweight blocks can be wrapped, so that the phenomenon that after the counterweight blocks are crashed into pieces, the block pieces splash and hurt people is avoided.
