The invention provides a power battery pack security device for vehicles. The power battery pack security device comprises a power battery pack, a gas bag, a gas generator and a controller, wherein the power battery pack is used for providing power for a vehicle; the gas bag can expand from a contracting state to an expanded state, is arranged close to the power battery pack and is located between the power battery pack and the ground when in the expanded state; the gas generator is used for initiation when receiving an initiation command to provide gas for the gas bag in the contracting state, so that the gas bag can expand from the contracting state to the expanded state; and the controller is configured to send the initiation command in case of a collision accident of the vehicle. According to the power battery pack security device, the protection function of the gas bag is directly used for protecting the battery pack, and the contact between the power battery pack and the ground or other sundries is cut off immediately, so that the power battery pack is protected against such secondary disasters as friction, puncture, extrusion or the like, and accordingly, a relatively good in-advance protection role is played, and the lift and property security of passengers are protected.
