The invention provides a driver physiological status monitoring and responding system comprising a smart wristwatch, a vehicle-mounted terminal, and a cloud server. The smart wristwatch acquires the current physiological data of a driver and sends the current physiological data to the cloud server. The cloud server stores historical physiological data of the driver and determines the current driving status of the driver according to the current physiological data and the historical physiological data of the driver. When a determined result indicates that the driver is currently in a bad driving status due to attention, the cloud server sends alarm information to the vehicle-mounted terminal which warns the driver to pay attention to driving. When the determined result indicates that the driver is currently in a driving incompetent status, the cloud server takes the initiative in calling a medical rescue system or traffic police center for treatment.
