The invention discloses a vehicle speed limit safety guarantee system which comprises an automatic speed limit adjusting mechanism, an emergency speed limit relieving mechanism and a coupling mechanism arranged between the automatic speed limit adjusting mechanism and the emergency speed limit relieving mechanism. The automatic speed limit adjusting mechanism comprises a support, a driving device and a speed limit execution device, wherein the support is connected to a vehicle body of a vehicle in a pivoted mode, the driving device is arranged on the support, and the speed limit execution device is arranged on the support and can be driven by the driving device to stretch and retract for movement below an accelerator pedal of the vehicle. The emergency speed limit relieving mechanism comprises an operating button, a transmission rack connected to the tail end of the operating button and an elastic reset element arranged between the tail end of the transmission rack and the vehicle body. The coupling mechanism comprises a transmission gear, wherein the transmission gear is fixed to the support and can pivot synchronously with the support and be meshed with the transmission rack. When the operating button is pressed down, the transmission rack drives the transmission gear to rotate and then drives the support to pivot so that the automatic speed limit adjusting mechanism can deflect from a speed limit position to a non-speed-limit position.
