The invention relates to a low-clearance double-beam bridge type crane. The low-clearance double-beam bridge type crane comprises two main beams which are parallel to each other, a connection beam for connecting the main beams, small moving car rails arranged on the two main beams respectively, large car walking mechanisms capable of moving on a rail bearing beam and arranged at the end parts of the two main beams, small moving cars adapted to the small moving car rails, power platforms arranged between the two main beams, a lifting pulley block mounted on the small moving cars, and a lifting hook group connected with the lifting pulley block, wherein the power platform is provided with a lifting mechanism and a dragging mechanism; the lifting mechanism is used for controlling the lifting hook group to be hoisted; and the dragging mechanism is used for controlling the small moving cars to move. According to the crane, the space between the two main beams is sufficiently utilized and the lifting mechanism mounted on the small moving cars in a traditional form is changed to be fixedly arranged on the inner sides of the two main beams, so that the space of a workshop is saved and the mounting and overhauling are very convenient; and furthermore, compared with the traditional form, for the crane disclosed by the invention, the weight of the small moving cars is greatly alleviated so that the load on the main beams is reduced and the weight of the main beams is facilitated to be reduced.
