Methods for determining minimum time ship routes on digital computer; determining course which requires minimum time to go from one specified place to another when speed of ship is known function of position, heading, and time, and also where speed is function of position and heading but not of time; obtaining curves which yield maximum distance ship can attain at any particular time by choosing various courses; routines for effecting rendezvous between 2 ships, when one ship is following known course, and when 2 ships cooperate.
