Variables affecting spacing of dual tires for farm tractors are evaluated in respect to traction; soil bin facility of Purdue University was used; 4.00-8 tires were operated in artificial soil prepared to represent two soil conditions; values of travel reduction from zero to 20% were considered at dual spacings up to 4 in.
