Route type interlocking installed where Belt Railway connections are made to yards of Wabash and Chesapeake and Ohio, has resulted in savings of 20 min per train for each of 240 trains daily; known as Western avenue interlocking, it is controlled from machine at Hayford tower about 7000 ft away; layout and circuit diagrams.
