Antenna design is defined by polarization, bandwidth, immittance and VSWR, pattern coverage, gain, antenna efficiency, power capacity, and installation mounting; these factors are directly related to antenna size, which is important parameter for air-space antenna applications; relationship of design factors to size is defined by using examples taken from practice; simple rules of design are discussed.
