In evaluating effective utilization of manned planetary flyby missions with respect to overall space program, relationship is desired between 3 planning parameters of transportation system mass, year in which flight is launched, and mission duration; method of analysis presented determines relationship and provides additional information for evaluating related problem areas; integration of model transportation design with numerous heliocentric transfer trajectory data for Mars and Venus 1970 through 1975.
