Design development program for C-141 A airframe by Lockheed-Georgia Co is summarized with emphasis on fatigue, damage tolerance, and static strength considerations; fatigue design criteria used for C-141A and C-5A are considered in detail; some significant differences in criteria requirements between C-141A and C-5A are identified together with expected impact on structural design.
