Operational procedures that have proven valuable in efforts to augment flight safety are development engineering inspection, factory rollout inspections, interface control, flight safety reviews, and environmental and operational mission simulations; design areas where special measures seem indicated to reduce hazards peculiar to space operations include zero-g environment, structural deformations, heat removal and equipment temperature control, and fuel management.
