Summary of Aircraft Transparency Symposium, organized by Soc of British Aerospace Co and held at Royal Aeronautical Soc on Nov 1964; abstracts of nine papers are presented dealing with development of glass transparencies for aircraft, airline troubles with windscreens, windscreen failures in Royal Air Force, test methods required, use of organic materials, toughened materials, transparencies for supersonic and hypersonic flight, American high-performance manned flight vehicle transparencies, and resistance of transparencies to bird impact.
