Results of test runs of six prototype cars designed for new line to determine performance of track structure; train speed of test runs was up to 256 km/hr; measurements were made of acceleration on rail, tie and ballast, pressure between rail base and tie (rail pressure), rail depression, relative displacement between rail and tie and stress at rail base and rail fastening spring clip; layout of measurement positions on ordinary ballasted track is shown.
