Innovative and enviromentally friendly Scalewatcher Marine Electronic Descaling System. This system provides a simple solution to hard water problems and has also proved effective in drastically reducing the scale buildup in desalination plantes. The system is easily fitted and requires no plumbing chemicals oder maintenance. The system functions by using electrical and magnetic fields generated by a coil wrapped around the outside wallof the pipework to be treated. The current changes direction several thousand times a second inducing an electric field within the pipe which affects the electrically charged dissolved ions of scale-causing minerals. The crystal growth characteristics of scaling minerals are altered. Treated crystals remain suspended in solution and no longer contribute to the build-up of hard pipe deposite. Existing scale deposits are softened, loosened and removed in the waterflow
