The development of underwater works taking into account the necessity of hoisting or lowering submersibles during intensive wavy motion leads to a new construction of deck machinery. Safety of the works, for example of diving, requires a compensation of ship oscilation influence on the motion of underwater object. The paper presents a new concept of the diving bell hoisting winch equipped with electro-hydraulic control system assuring the stabilization of bell position and hoisting speed during ship's motion in wave. The results of experimental investigation of the system are also includet. An essential aim of the paper is to prove that a simple solution of the rope force stabilization can replace complicated system operating based on the motion control.
