Anhand der Beispiele von 5 Ein- und Zweimotorenanlagen der Schiffsantriebe werden neue ergaenzende Gesichtspunkte fuer die Auswahl optimaler Parameter elastischer Kupplungen sowie Drehzahlregler erlaeutert und ein Berechnungsmodell gezeigt. Dabei wurde auch beruecksichtigt, dass die mit derartigen Kupplungen ausgestatteten Schiffsantriebsanlagen gegenueber auftretenden Unregelmaessigkeiten des Schiffs- und Motorbetriebes (wie Zuendaussetzer, Schiffskoerperbewegungen) nicht besonders empfindlich sein sollen. Weiterhin werden auch die Probleme der Alterung der Kupplungsbelaege sowie der Einstellung Drehzahlregler behandelt. (Merkel)
Flexible couplings and reduction gears for marine diesel propulsion sometimes suffer damages due to excessive torsional dynamics. This may be caused by e.g. unexpected behaviour of flexible couplings, cylinder misfire, sensitive speed governors, etc. A method based on numeric time integration has been developed in order to simulate twin diesel plants including the influence of the speed governors on the vibration excitation. Nonlinear torque -twist and not constant relative damping of the flexible couplings are included. The speed governor transfer functions may also contain several nonlinearities. The excitation torque system which uses the vibratory fuel rack as input, does not split the excitation into single harmonics, as synthesis of harmonics is not possible with nonlinear vibrations. The excitation torque samples on the deviation of the various crank torques, from the crank torque due to mean fuel rack position. This also includes a possibly misfiring cylinder. With this digital simulation it is possible to study the influence of various parameters on low order torsional vibrations, and predict stability of a system with new as well as with aged couplings.
