Laminated safety glass (LSG) an be reclaimed almost completely. This presentation gives minimum requirements for a preparation process of LSG including concepts for windshield dismantling, separation of the glass - foil composites and the separation of polymer and low moleculare weight additives. If realized on a pilot plant scale, 96 kg of secondary raw materials can be regained out of 100 kg of class residue. The modular concept of the reclamation process easily allows for adjustments in the preparation requirements of clear and coloured LSG from cars and from the building sector. It is even possible to recondition foil residues from existing LSG separation processes, that presently leave the foil residues as unprocessable waste, with this process.
