Nowdays the passive safety aspects can already be found among the requirements used in the design of bus frameworks. This means establishing such a construction, which provides protection for occupants against injuries in the case of an accident. As a requirement for the roll-over accident a well-defined space should be undamaged, which can be reached by the adequate strength of the superstructure. Present paper shows an analysis method, by means of which the framework of appropriate strength can be created in the design stage already. The paper presents the mechanical model for simulating the roll-over process, its solving procedure and comparison of the computed and experimental resolutionon the basis of three full-scale tests.
