A decision making aid that incorporates all the advantages of simulation and war gaming techniques is named after the Greek philosopher of the 2nd century BC who is regarded as the father of probabilism. Defined by Electronique Serge Dassault, for the French Army's General Staff and the Ministry of Defense Armaments Delegation, it will incorporate a range of air-land battle parameters at tactical and operational levels and will simulate new force structures, new weapons systems and new doctrines for using them. It also will enable battle situations to be quantified and measured.
