The popularity of lead acid battery powered vehicles is due to constant design developments and in their characteristics of long life and reliability. UB-MEC Batteries Ltd. has experience for the past 25 years in manufacturing good quality traction batteries. During the last five years, new types of batteries have been designed, tested and supplied for electric road vehicles and battery operated locomotives. Improvements in quality and better production processes have been implemented into the production line for reliability and long deep cycle life of batteries in service. Further action plans are on hand to develop high energy density batteries for electric vehicles, reflecting the latest in battery technology.
