Rail Cargo Group (RCG) ist die neue Dachmarke der Güterverkehrsaktivitäten des ÖBB-Konzerns. Mit 60 Logistikgesellschaften in 16 Ländern Europas wurden 2013 113 Millionen Nettotonnen transportiert, RCG zählt damit zu den Top-3-Logistikern im europäischen Schienengüterverkehr. Bis 2020 sind etwa 3 000 Güterwagen vor allem der Gattungen F, T und E altersbedingt auszuscheiden. Innofreight ist ein international tätiges Logistikunternehmen, das sich auf die Entwicklung und den Betrieb von Containersystemen für den Massenguttransport spezialisiert hat. Europaweit wurden damit 2013 etwa 500000 Containertransporte abgewickelt, das Transportvolumen betrug etwa 10 Mio. Nettotonnen. Der Vortrag beschreibt die Zielsetzungen bei der Entwicklung eines neuartigen modularen Plattformkonzepts (InnoWaggon) für Kunden aus der Baustoff- und Stahlindustrie sowie Kraftwerksbetreiber. Besonderheit dabei ist ein sehr leichter 80-ft-Containertragwagen, der in Kombination mit neu entwickelten Spezialcontainern den Kundenbedürfnissen in einfacher Weise angepasst werden kann. Mit dem einzigartigen Kooperationsprojekt zwischen RCG und Innofreight werden den Kunden neue logistische Möglichkeiten geboten, Spezialwagen werden ersetzt durch Plattformwagen und kundenoptimierte Aufbauten. Dadurch lassen sich die aufwändigen Zulassungsverfahren verkürzen und die Instandhaltung vereinfachen. Die Typenvielfalt der Waggons kann deutlich reduziert werden, die Produktivität der Waggons steigt und die Wettbewerbssituation zum Straßengüterverkehr verbessert sich. Nach der Serieneinführung in Österreich ab Juli 2014 erfolgt ab 2015 die internationale Vermarktung.

Until 2020 ca. 3 000 freight wagons mainly types F,T and E will be out of service because of their age. Innofreight is an international logistic company specialised in development and operation of container systems for mass good transport. In 2013 all over Europe ca. 500 000 containers were transported, the transport volume was ca. 10 Mio. net tons. The presentation gives an overview of the goals of the development of a new platform concept (InnoWaggon) for customers of building industry, steel industry and power plants. The speciality is a very light 80ft-container wagon, which can be adapted easily for the needs of customers in combination with new developed special containers. This cooperation project of RCG and Innofreight offers the customers new logistic solutions, special wagons will be replaced with platform wagons and customer optimized containers. Because of this the demanding authorization process is shorter and the maintenance is simplified. The variety of freight wagons can be reduced, the productivity of wagons is increasing and the competitiveness to road transport will be better. After the start of serial service in July 2014 in Austria first international marketing activities are planned for 2015.
