Vehicles in the Moscow monorail transit system are driven by linear induction motors (LID). The average speed is low (of order 25-30 km/h) and does not exceed 50 km/h. The implementation of high-speed LIDs for lines connecting aiports and cities and for light metro projects is more difficult due to the edge effects. In this article, questions of the development of mathematical and computer software for the analysis of electromagnetic processes in high-speed linear induction motors are considered. It is shown that, upon applying tensor calculation methods to each part, it is possible to solve joint equations for the electric circuit, electromagnetic field, and motor control system. The calculations show that the application of concentric windings has proven to be the most useful technique. In this case, the distribution of the magnetic field over the inductor results in greater uniformity and the least dispersion of current amplitudes in modules phases.
