The objective of this work is to characterize the structures of aircraft, generally alloy of aluminium, and in particular corrosions which could undergo a plane subjected to specific conditions and requests (atmosphere, pressure, saline...). Atmospheric corrosion is the result of the action of the atmosphere on metal. For aluminium and its alloys, this action generally results by a more or less accentuated tarnishing and pitting surface. The experiments by eddy currents method show the large possibilities to use in the evaluation of the various metallurgical characteristics . The objective of our work is to characterize the structure of materials by eddy current method .The samples were heated at the temperatures of 350 deg C with different maintain times . Other share of the samples were subjected to other requests (other temperature, electrochemical corrosion....). The possibilities of materials characterization by eddy currents are very significant to evaluate the structures . The relation between impedance variation and hardness with the structure modification present the same evolution and then it 's possible to determinate the mechanical characteristic by eddy current method.
