Design concept for high energy absorption material was presented in braided composites. Two different concepts were proposed; one was restrain effects of braided fabric and another was flexible interphase. Based on proposed concept various braided rods which consists of unidirectional fibers and braiding fabric the crushing tests were performed on these braided rods. It was confirmed the effectiveness of proposed concept and braided rods for crush elements.
