Its primary scientific mission will be the investigation of interplanetary space, and of the highlatitude magnetosphere and its boundary in the region around the neutral point. the present report includes a description of each of the seven on-board experiments (Provided by five esro member states), an outline of the general design philosophy and details of each of the major sub-systems.
