Through the use of inverted emulsion drilling fluid, wellbore stability problems have been reduced in drilling from Beryl 'A' platform. In addition, torque and drag reduction have resulted - improving the process of directional drilling. Cementing volumes have been reduced and cementing success improved. Specially designed and fabricated equipment prepares the cuttings for discharge to the sea and completely processes the mud to maximize its utility. (Kursetz)
