A miniature hydraulic power unit was developed for use in flying wind tunnel models for aeroelastic studies. A modular system was developed to provide flexibility of location and to meet the envelope requirements. Operating pressure is 3000 psi at 2 GPM flow (3.5 HP), but has a peak power output of 7 HP for short time periods. The entire system weighs only 16 pounds, and each module has an envelope of 3 inches diameter by 10 inches long. Special system features include an integrated reservoir and heat exchanger and light weight accumulator. (DePo)
