The reasons for the development program 'Advanced tracked transport technologies' are explained in brief. The speed-ranges for operation of advanced wheel-on-rail- and Maglev-systems are delimited against each other. The development history, including the state of the work and the further course of the program are shown, up to the milestone 'decision to start the construction of revenue systems' before the end of this decade.
