Intelligent passenger service and operation become the key assessment indicators of smart metro, and they lead to more and more wireless data transmission between vehicle and ground. The bandwidth and speed of metro vehicle-ground wireless communication network can’t meet the growing transmission requirements of the intelligent services. On the basis of analysis of vehicle-ground wireless network technology development and 5G technology application in metro, a collaborative bearing scheme with 5G technology was proposed based on the current LTE network to solve the bottleneck of carrying bandwidth and transmission rate of current metro vehicle-ground wireless network. 5G network in station, depot and parking lot was established based on the current LTE network of passenger information system. The network scheme is an effective implementation of 5G application in metro. It greatly improves the bandwidth and transmission rate of vehicle ground wireless network. The functions of vehicle multimedia online distribution and vehicle surveillance video and operation log automatic dump were realized based on cloud-edge collaborative technology. The automation of the above functions avoids the security risks caused by manual copy operation when the train returns to the depot and improves the passenger service quality and operation efficiency.
