Zusammenfassung Already today, hardware and software versions of embedded automotive components frequently evolve, due to discontinued electronics or fixed software bugs. For example, the average release cycle for new software versions of a vehicle already in production is six months (Guissouma et al. 2018). With agile development methods, continuous integration efforts and over-the-air software updates, this frequency and the amplitude of system alternations is expected to increase.
