Abstract We substantiate the necessity of taking into account the dynamic effect appearing in the anisotropic cylindrical shell under the action of the constant internal excess pressure, the leading edge of which is propagated along its generatrix with constant acceleration; the pressure is capable to create in the shells the stresses exceeding by many times the static components, which that may lead to the structure failure.
