In April 2020, a medium-speed maglev (MSM) train with a speed of 160 km/h has been successfully tested on the maglev express line in Changsha, China. In May 2020, A permanent magnet levitation technology engineering demonstration line was built by Jiangxi University of Science and Technology at Xingguo County, Ganzhou, China. This Paper design the MSM Speed Tracking System (MSM-STS) based on the fourth-order Linear Active Disturbance Rejection Controller (LADRC). The simulation results shows that, compared with Proportion-Integration-Differentiation Controller (PID), the LADRC can improve the capability of solving large time delay and strong random disturbance of MSM-STS, Moreover, to improve the dynamic performance of MSM-STS, the paper draws on the design, Tracking-Differentiator (TD), which is an important component of Active Disturbance Rejection Controller (ADRC). The most important advantage of combining the TD with LADRC is reducing the overshoot of the MSM-STS.
