Abstract Undue upper harmonics or aperiodical voltage distortions in industrial power systems should be avoided in order to reach an undisturbed operation of electronical equipment. On principle the interaction of power converters, power compensation equipment, filter circuits and low voltage electronical equipment should be taken into account already in case of planning and studied by means of transient analysis.
