Unmanned mining is of great help to realize efficient and safe mining. However, there is still much development space of unmanned mining, and few scholars integrate the application of unmanned system in mining. This paper summarizes the main equipment and technology of unmanned system in mining and tunneling, and analyzes the development trend of unmanned mining. At present, the key technologies of fully mechanized unmanned mining are shearer positioning, memory cutting technology, automatic follow up of hydraulic support, etc. The main applications of unmanned operation in tunneling face are autonomous positioning and remote control technology of roadheader and mining robot. After the analysis of the existing technology and development direction, the viewpoints of improving the cooperative operation of equipment and the mining information processing speed are put forward.
