Abstract New theoretical fundamentals for calculating heat exchange in turbulent fluid flows are considered with the use of spectral representations of hydrodynamic and thermophysical flow parameters. To classify and regulate random and chaotic time variations in the flow parameters the integral Fourier transformations are used to reduce the equations of continuity, momentum and energy to the spectral form. A closed system of equations of turbulent fluid motion was obtained to determine the averaged flow parameters and their statistic characteristics.
