This paper discusses multiple flow pumps that use only one pumping element which passively provides several constant flows. It is shown that, compared to conventional designs, a “Multi-Flo”* multiple stream pump reduces package size and life cycle costs. An analysis, based on laboratory results, provides estimated energy and dollar savings during an example system's life. Projected energy costs are combined with unit prices to provide life cycle cost comparisons. In technology, the ultimate sophistication is simplicity.
