Abstract A method for determining the local heat flux per unit area, namely, gradient heat flux measurement, is proposed based on transverse the Seebeck effect. The structure of skew layer composites is described, the dependencies are given, which allow calculating volt-watt sensitivity of the sensors. Technology of sensor production based on metals, alloys and semiconductors is considered.
