The Directive establishes uniform Department of Defense policies, assigns responsibilities, and furnishes general guidance on the use of Department of Defense military and civilian personnel, facilities, equipment, and supplies to assist the District of Columbia government in combating crime. Secretary of Defense Memorandum for the Secretary of the Army, April 7, 1970, and Secretary of Defense multiaddressee memo, April 7, 1970, are hereby superseded and cancelled.
