The study reviews and evaluates the express bus transportation from New Jersey to midtown Manhattan with the key element of the corridor - the exclusive bus lane on Interstate 495 - now in its 10 months of successful operation. Travel characteristics in the corridor and bus service are reviewed, trip collection, park and ride, CBD terminal of the corridor, traffic management, objectives and alternate solutions are discussed.
