Test B3, the first full duration static firing of a 'D' series missile, was successfully accomplished on 8 May 1959. The primary purposes of the test were to evaluate propulsion system performance, determine flight control system dynamic response and obtain data on airborne engine control pressurization during a full duration static firing.
