The manual contains instructions for installing and operating the Vehicle Asset Management System (VAMS). The VAMS programs is designed to help base-level vehicle fleet managers keep track of vehicle authorizations and assignments. The program's capabilities include: adding, editing, and deleting data on vehicle authorizations and/or assignments; printing reports of vehicles/authorizations in specified categories; and monthly reconciliation with OLVIMS vehicle files. All of these functions can be accomplished through a system of easy-to-use menus. Getting good results with the program requires only a working understanding of fleet management and a Zenith Z-100 or Z-248 computer. The program's advantages include: increased data accuracy, improved flexibility, standardization, and reduction in the amount of time needed to prepare reports.
