This project was initiated for the purposes of: (1) investigating the potential of high altitude, small scale imagery for mapping and natural resources application, and (2) obtaining simulated spacecraft imagery. The vehicle used is a CF-100 aircraft, outfitted as a camera platform to meet the experimental and test requirements of the Department of National Defence. The first flight was conducted on 19, May 1970, over Lake Ontario. (Author)
