This conference accomplished two goals. It developed a complete list of learning objectives for meteorology training for a professional pilot. The conference also allowed these pilots, meteorologists, researchers, and educators to gather together to talk about issues effecting aviation meteorology. Presentations: U.S Air force Military Aircrew Weather Training; The Professional Pilot and Meteorology: A Void in Understanding; Aviation Weather Training; Collegiate Weather Education for Pilots; The Current State of Meteorological Education for Aviation Professionals and Methodologies for Enhanced Learning; A Weather Crisis; Crosschecks, Backdoors, and Outs: Practical Tips from the Pro's; Position Paper on Army Aviation Meteorology Training; and Career Pilot Weather Training Curriculum--A National Weather Service Perspective. Symposia. (jhd)
