This Handbook replaces AMCP 706-282, Propulsion and Propellants Handbook; it is not merely a revision to up-date the text material. As suggested by the title, the main emphasis has been placed on propulsion. However, the properties and characteristics of both liquid and solid propellants have been updated and are included in the text. The Handbook is divided into two parts: Part One 'Chemical Rocket Propulsion' and Part Two 'Air-breathing Jet Propulsion Engines'. Part Two - devoted to air-breathing engines, other than piston engines, employed for propelling winged aircraft, helicopters, and target drones - represents the new addition. (Author)
