A functional test was conducted on the primary escape systems in subject aircraft to determine if the periodic inspections performed were adequate. There were no flight requirements for the test. The systems were actuated on the ground, jettisoning the canopies and seats from the aircraft. A net was utilized to retrieve the canopy and seat. The emergency systems performed without malfunction.
